the bribery continues

misty moon rise

my cheerful flowers watch me journal each morning

I think I may have a recessive French or Italian gene with my love affair with cheese.  Today's bribe featured one perfectly ripe heirloom tomato with fresh feta and herbs from my garden.  Eaten, of course, while sitting upon the sandy barnacles.

Even after a full year of living up here, the ferries still enchant.

  1. ...sigh.
Three years of living in Benicia, and a whole childhood in Martinez, and still the sound of the Western Pacific Train whistle made me glad to be home. I miss it. And the sounds of the bells from St. Catherine's School. AND the ferries.

    Jealous of your sweet peas.

    :sigh:

  2. the aphids are winning the war on my sweet peas, so they may not be around much longer.

  3. Yank them out, before the aphids spread, and put something else in!

I'm just jealous that you managed to catch the moonset!
