September's ending

gorgeous day for a stroll around the neighborhood and the wish that I had Jewish heritage--this seems to be the ideal time of year to begin again.

I'm glad to see our friends come:
talk, laughter, food, wine.
I'm glad to see our friends go:
solitude, emptiness, gardens,
autumn wind.

  1. Two dear friends who are Jewish but who hadn't darkened the door of a temple in years suddenly are returning. If they can go back, surely you can go. To that end, I L'shanah tovah tikatevi v'tahetemi to you. May you be sealed and inscribed for a good year.

  2. It's the Conservatory at Volunteer Park. It's small, but exquisite. And it's free!
