I didn't realize these were red peppers; glad that I waited to harvest it! I think with the heat we're to have this weekend, all my peppers and some of the tomatoes may ripen.
This was the sight which greeted me as I pulled into my work parking lot. Always nice to walk into work with laughter.
Ha! - a trailer pulled by a bicycle - no wonder it's in a handicapped parking spot. Your garden is growing better than ours - looks great.

ReplyDeleteGreen is the unripened stage - which is why, I think, that green bell peppers make me sick. They continue to ripen to red. All peppers start off life one way, and end up some other way. It was especially disconcerting with our chocolate habañero.

I actually don't remember what kind of pepper this one is. I know it's not a jalapeno. I figure I'll toss it in a soup or bean pot.
ReplyDeleteAnd I did not know that all peppers turn red. That makes sense--because I have the same reaction to green bells. Hmm.
