And my city never fails in delivering pennies found on the sidewalks. SO lovely to be back in civilization again; went to the Aveda school in Seattle to get my hairs cut. Country living is very isolating and car dependent. I am so looking forward to living in the middle of town again.
The "car dependent" is the bit that gets to us; we've lived for four years sans car now, and living out in the country suddenly seems a monumental mistake, if it means that we need to BUY a car. We're like, "Wait, wasn't that what we wanted to avoid? High petrol prices, insurance, parking fees...?" And yet, here we are. Brilliant sunrises, lovely sunsets, and a long walk to the closest market...
