I guess I don't find it hard to live by - because the life I have is a direct result of the choices I made. I don't have a house, or a car, or children - because I know writers make pretty ridiculous money, unless they get "lucky," and I don't believe in luck.
I think the trick is being HAPPY with the choices made because I MADE THEM. The time spent being pissed off because of things which can only be traced back to me is wasted time...
