"How many cares one loses when one decides not to be something but to be someone."
Yesterday's outing was to see this intriguing movie Coco avant Chanel. Despite the miles walked, no coins were found. But the red and gold leaves were still vividly valiant in the face of pouring rain.
:) That's almost as full-on Buddhist koan as "what is the sound of one hand clapping."
ReplyDeleteI knew a boy in high school who was OBSESSED with Coco Chanel. I was clueless back then, but even I figured out Frankie was no ordinary boy. He's somewhere in the great halls of fashion now, I'm sure, calling everyone, "Darling," and wearing inexplicable outfits that look bizarre to we ordinary plebes, but which are dashing and avant garde as all get out, no doubt. Good old Frankie. Hadn't thought of him in ages. He's where I *heard* of Coco Chanel... he called her Coco like they'd grown up together.
Funny, funny.
Is it still raining? We're having Days of Deluge here, but it's really not as cold as it was last year. Or else it's me...
